Nantwich International Cheese Awards

The International Cheese Awards are held at the Nantwich Show and is the most prestigious cheese event in the UK. Held since 1897, the shows continues to grow every year and attracts over 4000 competitive entries from around the world in 283 categories. The top accolade is the award of Supreme Champion, which was won by Long Clawson in 2013 for Smooth Blue.

The following awards were won in 2019:

• The Relco Trophy – Best Whole Blue Stilton!

• Gold – Hard Pressed Vegetarian (Rutland Red)
• Gold – Territorial, English Cheesemaker (Rutland Red)
• Silver – Plain White Stilton (White Stilton)
• Silver – Cheese with Savoury Additives (Red Leicester with Chilli & Red Pepper)
• Bronze – Two Halves Standard Stilton (Blue Stilton)
• Bronze – Two Halves Mature Stilton (Mature Blue Stilton)
• Bronze – Cheese with Sweet Additives (White Stilton with Mango & Ginger)
• Highly Commended – Blue Vein Hard Cheese, Produced in the UK (Blue Stilton)
