The Farm to Fork trails initiative is designed to get children closer to the food they eat, form a better understanding and develop a closer relationship with food. Here at Long Clawson Dairy we are supporting local schools and the project by offering sessions in schools. We teach the cheese making process from happy cows to hungry customers. It’s an interactive and hands on session, including cheese grading, stilton tasting and the chance to make their very own cheese from a wide variety of ingredients.

The initiative is proving to be a great success over the past  few years, we recently visited Warren Primary Academy, Nottingham. The year 4 class took part in the initiative and quickly got stuck into cheese making. The group chose an interesting array of ingredients to combine in their cheese with some fabulous results.

If your primary school is based in Nottinghamshire or Leicestershire and are interested in a Farm to Fork Trail run by Long Clawson Dairy please contact us on here.
