Great British Cheese Festival - Cardiff 26th - 27th September

Cardiff hosted this years ‘Great British Cheese festival’ with bustling crowds lining the streets outside the picturesque walls of the cities historic castle.
With over 30 different cheese exhibitors it was a food lover’s paradise, offering sheep’s, cow and goats cheeses, as well as refreshing Cider and Artisan wine stalls to quench the thirst of those queuing to reach Britain’s biggest cheese market.

The show featured 884 entries from 189 different cheese makers, with everything from the old to the new, rare to universal.

With each winner announced the day before events started, guests were allowed to be the first to taste and buy newly crowned title holders.

Long Clawson took to the champ stand winning Best English Cheese and Best Traditional cheese for their well renowned Aged Leicestershire Red®.

One guest commented, "A Festival like no other with the style of a Royal picnic and the atmosphere of a Farmers Market with attitude!"
