How long have you been with Long Clawson and how did you first get involved with Long Clawson?
I started at Clawson in December 93 as a temporary packing operative. Now 18 years later, I am still here.
You have had quite a journey within the Company to get to the position you are out now, could you briefly explain your journey?
I started as a temporary operative in packing and I swiftly made the move to the technical department as a lab technician (an easier role), I then tried my hand at supervising, which I found to be a great challenge (much harder than the lab). I was promoted to senior supervisor of the Packing Department thanks to Zaib who noticed that I had the right skills for the job. Zaib again thought that I was capable of more and promoted me to Assistant packing manager before being offered the managerial role when Zaib moved on to another department.
I was then offered the opportunity to broaden my knowledge of the company by working in the production area as an assistant manager, before being offered the managerial role in 2006 where I work to this day.
Could you explain what your role is as Production Manager?
My role as production manager is very diverse but basically I am responsible for turning the milk into quality cheeses for the packing department. My role includes managing up to 60 staff, managing processes and an array of projects to name a few.
What would you say is one of your biggest accomplishments in your career so far?
An appearance on the One Show! No, I would say being promoted to production manager is my biggest accomplishment.
