About Claxstone cheese

Claxstone cheese is produced using milk from local farms in the counties of Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. Their herds graze on the some of the richest pastures in Britain, which is reflected in the quality of the milk they produce.

Claxstone cheeses are hand-selected by our Master Cheesemakers at the optimum moment of maturity. Whether enjoyed on their own or as part of a recipe, the care and attention lavished on our premium British cheeses will ensure that every occasion is special.

Claxstone cheese is made at the Long Clawson Dairy in the rural heart of England.

Long Clawson is a small village situated in the Vale of Belvoir in Leicestershire, England. Its farming heritage goes back for many centuries, and is mentioned in the 1086 Doomsday Book under the name of Clachestone.
