About Us

Long Clawson Dairy was founded in 1911 when 12 farmers from the Vale of Belvoir formed a co-operative to produce Stilton Cheese in the village of Long Clawson.

Clawson has prospered and today 56 producing members from 39 farms supply 38 million litres of milk per year.

The Company now operates from 3 sites:

Long Clawson
Head Office, Stilton Production Unit, Packing & Distribution
This site houses the Head Office and the production facilities for Stilton, all other Blues and Paneer.

Harby
Maturation of Stilton & Blue Cheese
At Harby the Stilton is matured and graded prior to being sent back to Clawson for packing and despatch to our customers. This site was opened in 1985 by HRH The Prince of Wales.

Bottesford
Production & Packing of Speciality Blended Products
The production of our Blended Cheese takes place at the Bottesford Site. It was opened as a dedicated blended facility in 1979 following the launch of the Windsor Red cheese.
